In this section, the process of configuring the devices file and the config file for the Power Platfrom controller will be explained. These files are essential for the
controller’s operation and communication with devices in the microgrid. Additionally, the creation of custom address and control maps for various devices, including
Modbus devices and digital and analog I/O’s, will be covered.
Direct Energy Partners has created a general repository called dep-ppl-base, containing all the necessary files and folders required to operate the microgrid controller.
Customers can start modifying these files to suit their specific microgrid applications. Below, you will find detailed instructions on how to fork, clone and modify the files
contained in the dep-ppl-base repository.
Once all the files have been created, they should be uploaded to the Power Platform controller. After this, the next step is to commission and troubleshoot the communication
between the Power Platform controller and the devices in the microgrid system, as well as to commission the individual devices. Another possible next step is to develop a custom application.
